Re: Winsons
I once had a drive of a superb one at Stafford Club, I was stunned when he said it started life as a kit, couldn't fault it. If you can put some PTFE valve heads in it that seems to be the one thing that people say makes the biggest difference in performance along with opening up the outlet from the...

Re: 5" Gauge Manor Overhaul
Not long after making my last post on here another engine came my way at a sensible price, considering the level of work required to the Manor to get it back in tip top condition, and with the modifications I would like to make to it, the Manor has been set to one side for a couple of months whilst ...

5" Gauge Manor Overhaul
I recently purchased this 5" gauge Manor, built to a lovely standard, differing from the well known design by Martin Evans by having a scale boiler, correct profile frames with front extensions as per prototype etc. Winning a silver medal at an exhibition in the late 80's the engine was intensively ...

Large GL5 Photo Galley
I have been asked, on behalf of GL5 Member Mark Harding, to post a link to a large and ever growing collection of GL5 images, so far the gallery contains many images from events at Gilling, Coate Water, Greystones, Lindsey Society and Brent House. The pictures can be found here: http://www.flickr.co...
