It certainly was hard work for all, and the effort Geoff and Tom and George at Guildford put in during the months before the event was huge, measuring drawing, building points and track etc.. We started laying out the track on the thursday at 7am after loading the truck at Guildford at 6am... so ver...

Also to add we also have a stand position in the main club room so also looking for part built wagons to put on the stand for people to take a closer look at.

Crank Axle completed

Keith just to let you know the crank axle was finally completed end of 2008, now onto other jobs to get the engine back on the rails. Thanks Keith certainly given me another idea, I think the key thing (excuse the pun) is to make sure that the keyway is broached in the same place on each wheel, and as in your case my wheels are being re-used so the crank pin is still in, hence some form of jig. Keith be interested in your experiences, I am in process of doing a crank axle from solid and will have to do key ways in the wheels and axles.
