Hi Eddie,
many thanks for the info. This was very helpful to me. Today I fitted my articulated set and the toad with tail lamps. Will post pictures as soon as I find that camera.
Best regards
Holger

Re: Lamps?
Hi Eddie, that´s interesting. In Germany there are usually two tail lamps. I have 4 lamps of this type, so one for the articulated set. Is there any rule where to put it e.g. left or right, which height,...? I am not sure yet if I use a red LED and leave the side holes or use a white LED, red lens a...

Re: Lamps?
Hi Eddie, thanks for the info. I am thinking about fitting one to my "toad". Would that be correct? http://up.picr.de/9375908ari.jpg http://up.picr.de/9375909ldi.jpg My purpose-built riding car (articulated set of three) will also be equipped. Where do I mount these lamps on the toad? Found this pic...

Super Claud dome cover needed
Hi folks,
my Super Claud had another test run last weekend. Now the detailing work is about to start. I still need a dome cover. Are there any castings available on the market?
Best regards

She´s moving
Hi Folks, my Super Claud (just the most important parts actually) had a successful first test run last weekend. The only problem was that the snifting valves closed a bit late. They have now been rebuilt. Here´s a Video: http://www.myvideo.de/watch/8232972/und_sie_bewegt_sich_doch" onclick="window.o...

Claud Hamilton / Super Claud
Hi folks, my "eternal project" slowly approaches the finish line. The loco is scheduled to run under its own powers for the first time on the first weekend of August. (fingers crossed) I am now looking for the correct "royal blue" paint. Blackgates sent me a colour sheet but their impression of "roy...

Identification??
Hi folks, some time ago I bought another loco. The prototype is a German V160 aka 216. This loco was built in Britain. As I have no information about the history of the model I would like to ask if any of you have seen this loco out & about. http://up.picr.de/7504056xja.jpg http://up.picr.de/7504057...

Point machines
Hi all, the point machines finally turned up and I lost no time putting them in. Approaching the station I put a small box with pushbuttons to choose the track you want to enter, When leaving the station there are buttons next to each track to request a route. The interlocking logic is a simple desi...

Ivatt "flying Pig"
I am just reading "In Praise of Steam". The author mentions passing an Ivatt loco called "flying Pig".
Can anyone tell me which class he is referring to?

Re: track bed
I tried a different approach. Some people made jokes about being able to build a whole house on a foundation like that..... All was dug out about 30 cm deep: http://up.picr.de/6811063bvr.jpg Filled with some special gravel mixture and compacted well: http://up.picr.de/6811064sdo.jpg Topped up with f...

Looking for a dome cover
If all goes well my Super Claud will move under its own steam for the first time next month (I hope Murphy is on holiday by then). Most of the parts are in place. The only big thing still missing is the dome cover.
Can you give me any idea where I can get that part?
Best regards

LBSC Minx
Hi folks, my Minx has turned into a reliable runner. Now it is time to do something for the looks. The big plan is to enrol it for Karlsruhe next year. As it looks pretty close to a Fowler 4F I am thinking of detailing it in a similar way. The first thing on my list is light insode the cab (water ga...
