WARNING!

Hi folks,

just wanted to warn you about fraud going on on craigslist.co.uk
I bought all of my locos via the internet and had no problems.
Then I saw a 14XX advertised.
Seller was very friendy, even offered me to come and visit.
I bought the loco and transferred the money early february. Since then the seller did not answer any email, even after I set him a deadline.
Today I foung the ad relisted:

As I live in Germany it will be almost impossible to file this case with the authorities.
Sellers details must be accurate as the money transfer to his bank account was successful.

Of course, I have the full paper trail.
Does anyone have an ides for me? I was unable to find his phone number in any online directory.

I have had to remove the sellers address and bank details from your post due to confidentiality rules. I understand you may have been subject to a scam but we can't allow this information to be public as this incident may end in the hands of the Police.

My advice is to contact the Metropolitan Police here and file a complaint. They should be able to advise you on what can be done. Thank you for warning forum members by providing a link to the item and I hope you get this resolved quickly.
