Coupling Bars

Post by David Girling » Sat Nov 30, 2019 12:19 am

Hi to all members. I thought that I would just let you know that I recently took delivery of a Four foot Driving Truck from a well-known model engineering company and then thought that I should buy a Coupling Bar (profiled edges) to go with it off ebay but from another well known m.e.company. Imagine my surprise when the Coupling Bar arrived and I found that the 5" Truck has a 6mm Clevis Pin and the 5" Coupling Bar has 5mm holes in it. I had hoped that I had left all this non-conformance lark behind me when I moved up to 5" gauge.....how wrong can you be!
Has anybody else got any similar tales they would like to share?
Best wishes to all members
David
