Miniature Railway Magazine.

Post by David Girling » Fri Jan 17, 2020 12:30 am

I recently came across an advert for the above mentioned magazine and thought that I would get a copy to see what it is like, being a relatively new guy on the 5" scene. I have since received the copy and ,personally, find it a good read. Not quite as much 5" stuff but even the bigger gauges is still fascinating to me. Would anybody else like to give their views on the magazine?
By the way, there I was wondering who would be first to put an item on here in 2020 and, gosh, it looks like it is me!

Best wishes to all members for 2020.

Hi David,
Congratulations on being the first to make a post on the forum in 2020!
I saw a stand for the Miniature Railway Magazine at the ME Exhibition this last weekend at Ally Pally (Alexandra Palace) where they had quite a spread of their back issues of the magazine. I must admit that I wasn't aware of this magazines existence but resisted the temptation to even look let alone subscribe as I have enough trouble keeping up with reading Model Engineer magazine. When I do catch up to the current ME I then switch over to reading the back issues I have of the late Don Young's magazine Locomotives Large and Small. Even though he passed away a good number of years ago the magazines are still a good read.
Regards.
Nigel
