Notes for anyone wishing to attend the AGM.

In the unlikely event that Covid restrictions limit the number of people attending any meeting to a number smaller than the likely number of attendees, the AGM will be postponed. This could be the case if the current restrictions are not relaxed.

If the AGM is postponed, we would still hope to run trains, but, the numbers would have to be limited. Places would be allotted on a first come first served basis, so get your applications in quickly.

The responsible person for the running event will be Ben Lyons.

Please read through the Code of Practice which is under the heading Standards on the web site. We hope all participants will try to conform.

Please also read the Standards, they are there to try to ensure smooth operation of stock, but there are now a significant number of wagons with buffers and couplings which do not conform. Wagons which clearly do not conform may be taken off the track. Electrically powered radio controlled locos will be checked for conformity to the relevant standard.

Friday will be a free running day, but we hope to run a timetable on Saturday, and possibly Sunday too. We hope to be able to run on Monday as well. These events take quite some effort to run, so we expect all drivers to help. Please make yourselves available, and you will be given a job. This may be helping in a yard, shedmaster, perhaps helping with signalling.

We hope to have a Bring and Buy stall for any GL5 related articles. Please bring along bits to sell, priced up, or have a look see and get your wallet out. The club will take a 10% fee on articles sold.

The committee has decided that, to ease the workload on the membership secretary, we should have someone else to store and distribute back numbers of Turnout. We will be asking for a volunteer at the AGM. It would take some space and a little bit of your time. Thanks.

Excellent weekend- many thanks to everyone who organised/ prepared/ planned/ cooked or was otherwise involved!

Must admit I was a bit cynical of the timetable idea but it seemed to work well, especially when the weather was on our side on the Saturday.
