GL5 Shildon Event 21st - 23rd March 2025

Hi folks,

After a very positive response with lots of people saying they'd like to be involved, the GL5 event at Shildon this March is going ahead.

The event will run from Thursday the 20th of March (Set up day), until Sunday the 23rd. Help with the set up and tear down is greatly appreciated, as well as people to bring stock, locos, enthusiasm, shunting poles etc etc over the weekend. If you don't have stuff to run but want to come along please do so- yards and signal boxes don't run themselves for one thing!

The entry forms are now on the website - please do fill it in if you're planning on coming along, a) it means we (hopefully) know we have enough people coming for everything to work out and b) means some thought can go into timetabling/ rostering in advance.

Hi all,

We've had lots of offer of support for this- the more the merrier though, if anyone is thinking about coming please do sign up via the website- you'll be more than welcome whether you have just yourself or a rake of 30 wagons and a 9F! All help would be much appreciated. As you can imagine to put on a good show we do need a good number of wagons, so if anyone does have even just the odd one or two to bring along to bolster the ranks that would be great.
