RCH Long Buffer Stock

Post by Neil Howley » Thu Jul 22, 2021 7:50 am

Hello all

Thank you for adding me to the GL5 Forum. By way an introduction I'm a model engineer living in Melbourne, Australia and have been a long standing member of the Box Hill Miniature Steam Railway Society. I'm slowly in the process of completing a couple of 1 1/16" scale wagons (GWR Single Plank & Saxa Salt Wagon) and are now starting some research on my next wagon project.

Can anyone advise whether the RCH long buffer stocks have raised lettering cast into the bolting face similar to the standard length stocks which appear to have "STD" & "1A" cast in? If so what is cast onto this face? If someone is able to share a close up photo or drawing of this type of buffer that would be great.

Warm regards

Neil
