COACH IDENTITY AND REHOMING

Post by jim worner » Mon Nov 16, 2009 4:22 pm

Can anyone out there help to identify my coach. It is glass fibre and appears to be a BR mk2. It may have been moulded in blue, but is now sprayed 'blood and custard'. There is a steel perimeter chassis, and steel footboards for use as a riding coach. The windows are moulded in, but not cut out. It is approx 6 feet long over the buffers. The bogies are heavy duty items,3/8 thick with plain bearings and no detail. I have 4 photos which I can E-Mail, but have failed to attach here!! Having acquired it as a swop, it really looks silly behind my narrow gauge 4 wheel diesel, so it needs a new home. The easiest way to contact me is via the forum, or on 01423 862971. Jim

It sounds like your coach may well be a BR Mk2 as produced by Dan Jeavons (Steam & Diesel Castings). I don't have any photos of one to compare with your model though.

Richard, many thanks for the information. Do you ever go to York ME track? I ask as I run there and owe you a cup of tea! Jim W
