Hello everyone.
This is Dr. Johannes Grabsch, retired Chemical Engineer from Valkenburg in the very south of the Netherlands. (the 'Dr.' is in my passport, since they earmarked me a Phd ...)
We used to live for many years in Leeds, and I was member of some local Model Engineering Societies there. We have moved to Continental Europe 2 years ago. I am 70 years of age and I have decided to move my Model Engineering activities into building rolling stock. Handling 5" railcars is a lot easisier then handling 5" locos... I will keep the Speedy and the Simplex, while I'm selling off the other Locos. I have already 5 UK railcars, in various stage of progress. Having lived in Leeds, I have of course studied and the railcar rolling stock at the Middelton Railway. One of my planned projects is a Palvan, naturally.
If you see a "Yorkshireman" in a forum, that is me from my time in Leeds. Here, I've chosen "Lucas", from the Kids TV program "Jim Knopf und Lukas der Lokomotivführer"
I will show up in Doncaster as a visitor. I see you then.
Johannes
